Top Photos of 2006: #7

SEPTEMBER 8

There is nothing better than floating down Cherokee Lake enjoying the scenery and wildlife of East Tennessee. The rolling hills. The beautiful trees swaying in the wind. Deer sipping some water from the lake. The screeching squawk of the heron. Yes, nothing beats the frantic rowing of oars on our inflatable boats. And yes, definitely nothing beats the splendor of the Isle of Heron and Chicken Island. We first starting using inflatable boats to explore Cherokee Lake back in our first semester here at CN. These explorations have even made it in previous top 10s, such as here, here, and here. This probably one of my favorite things to do when time if freed up. This picture was taken this past year during our only boat outing of the semester. We took a little trip to both the Isle of Heron and little Chicken Island. Both islands were great, and we continued to build memories that will last a lifetime.
