Disappointing Day for NASA & America

Today was certainly a very sad day for NASA (read more here). Officials had been looking forward to this day since the awful shuttle disaster that took place two and half years ago. We all were looking forward to this day. I remember the Saturday that I was sitting in my living room when breaking news came on that officials had lost contact with Columbia; I remember it was such a sad day for all Americans and our mission in space. Everyone was ready for that piece of American ingenuity that had made us proud as a nation. Although I am highly disappointed that the shuttle did not launch today, I am so glad that problems were found before it was too late, and I am also glad that NASA officials did not jump the gun and launch anyway without addressing the problems. Hopefully, the delay will not be long and America will be back in space once again.
