They Never Shut Up

Well, dorm life is interesting. I got into the best guys dorm here at Carson-Newman, the Alumni Residence Hall. These guys follow the three pillars of the Alumni spirit, called SPIT. Spirit, pride, integrity, and tradition. It's all a little strange, sort of. Well, I am so glad that I did get stuck with the other dorm, Heritage. They say it's like a ghetto over there. All of the football team is over there, and they don't even have stalls for the showers except on the first floor. Even the outside looks like an old run down communist hospital. Well, the only problem I have with living in Alumni is that they are never quite. It gets a little annoying sometimes. Either smackdaddy size speakers are blaring or guys are yelling for no reason. I don't understand it. Supposedly, there are quite hours at night, but it is quiter during the day than it is during the night. A lot of people like stay up about all night long. I don't understand how they aren't like dog tired when they go to class. I sure would be. The freshmen are doing the other Welcome Week event called Howdy Hoot. It's like the Eagle Strut thing except it's longer and sort of like a show. I'm definitely not doing it because they are practicing like till midnight. I have classes at 8 so I don't want to waste my sleep on it. I feel bad about it, but I have responsibility to worry about. Oh well. Oh yeah, the Eagles won over Winston-Salem last night, 48-32. You should have seen it. Everyone from the away team was black. It was strange. Their cheerleaders came over to where ours where. It was funny. They did a little "Bring It On" thing. They taught our white girls how to dance. You should have seen it!
