Top Photos of 2006: #6

JULY 25

One of the best parts of summer is being able to go home and spend some quality time with the family and friends that are left behind during the school year. This past summer, though, I spent most of my time still at CN; I decided to take a couple of summer courses to help me lighten the load a little bit later down the road. Although summer school was actually fun, I didn't get to enjoy much of that quality time at home. I even had to miss Fun Fest this year (the first in many years). Upon my arrival back at home, the family and I went on a little trip to Charleston, SC, and then to Carowinds in Charlotte, NC. We had a great time together even though we endured extreme temperatures in the hot Carolina weather. The picture I selected for #6 was taken right before we returned from our adventure to the Carolinas. We had spent the day conquering Carowinds, which is a very unique park. It is divided in half by two states; one side sits on North Carolina while the other sits in South Carolina. I smelled a photo op! All of us are positioned so that one foot in one state and the other is in another state. A great way to end the trip.
