Top Photos of 2006: #2

JULY 22

I had a wonderful summer in 2006. I really wasn't sure how things would turn out with me going to summer school and all, but it turned out to be a great summer season. Leading up to the summer, people kept asking me about my plans and such. Every time I told people that I was going to summer school I always got the look...the look of disgust. Every one told me that summer school was a horrible experience so I went into the summer not expecting anything good. Turns out, it was just the opposite. I had great times with friends. I had a pretty good job. I also got some extra college credit. So it turned out all right. It was bad, though, being away from my family and friends back home. When I got back, it was a whirl wind of trying to catch up on the good times with the home folks. Almost as soon as I arrived at the house, we left for Charleston, SC. I wasn't sure how this trip would turn out, but I was excited about going to place that I had never been. Upon arriving in South Carolina, I knew this place was going to be beautiful. Every looked so great. After checking into the hotel, we got back into the car and headed to the beach. Gosh, it will be a long time before I forget the beauty of that shore! We went to visit this historical lighthouse that is completely surrounded by water. It was kind of neat to see, but we got some great shots of the family (except it tore up my camera for a little bit after dropping it in the sand). This was a great way to start out journey throughout Charleston.
