2006 was certainly a rough year for Carson-Newman faculty and staff, especially President Jimmy Netherton. A few days before the start of Homecoming celebrations, the faculty decided to gather together and declared "no confidence" in his ability as CN's president. The fate of Jimmy still hangs in the balance. The trustees will be meeting again in early January and make some kind of move after months of studies. For Halloween, a group of us wanted to have a theme of costumes so we decided to dress as Carson-Newman faculty and staff. Going left to right is Residence Life Secretary Billie Brown, accounting professor Phyllis Driver, biology professor Bob Trentham, education professor Dr. Bernard Bull, and Dr. Netherton himself. Those Carson-Newman academia certainly broke out of their shell that night.Related Pictures:
