Merry Christmas from Nashville

Merry Christmas from Governor Bredesen:

This Muslim woman from Afghanistan adorns the front cover of the Governor's Christmas cards this year. Hum, that's kind of interesting. The back of the card states, "While it may seem odd to put a portrait of a young Muslim woman on a Christmas card, this Season reminds us that He loves His children most of all." (story here)

Also in Tennessee political news, State Senator Mike Williams still has not indicated who he will be voting for this January as Lt. Governor, and he has the deciding vote. Myself, I don't really have any faith in the current Lt. Governor, John Wilder. Definitely not just because he is a Democrat, but Wilder has abused his office many times in the past. He has given away political favors both for others and himself. Nashville has been drowned in scandal for the past few years, and Wilder has done nothing to sweep away the unethical behavior. Three of his Senators were arrested a few years ago in the Tennessee Waltz operation. It is time for a change in leadership! (story here)
