Election Over, Off to Cleveland

Well, the dramatic actions of election day are over. The Democrats have taken over all of Congress, which might not be a horribly back thing. First, Dems put forth lots of moderate candidates this year because they knew that would make it more possible for them to win. So, we shouldn't expect anything too liberal to come out of Washington. Also, Bush is still a Republican. The federal government is no more balanced than it has been in the past few years, but it will certainly be hard for Bush to get everything he wants. A balanced government can be a good thing so we don't have crazy laws coming out. I just hope they all don't ruin the economy; that is my main concern with Dems taking control. One thing is for sure, it will certainly be a monumental fight for the '08 Presidential race.

Anyways, I'm headed out of town today. A bunch of us accounting majors are going to Cleveland, Ohio, to attend an IMA student conference. We are flying up so that should be nice; I hope I don't get freaked considering I don't even remember my experience the last time I flew. Should be lots of fun!
