Corker & Ford Debate

Corker and Ford debated last night in Chattanooga. Here are some observations I made:

-Both candidates are getting nasty in their attacks on one another. I'm not sure if either of them are dignified.
-Corker kept checking out his watch like he was late for a big date.
-I hated it when they would shift their focus away from the question asked onto an entirely different issue.
-The moderator was an idiot.
-Ford called for a reduction in pork barrel legislation but earlier pointed out his efforts that resulted in millions of federal money spent at the Memphis airport and local educational programs.
-Ford wants Iraq to be separated into regions according to religion. Don't we call that segregation?
-Ford kept calling for reform in Washington and a new style. We must remember, though, that he has been in Washington for 10 years. I wouldn't exactly call 10 years "new leadership."
-Corker dodged the question regarding his support for building a wall on the southern border with Mexico. He only mentioned "technologies" that he saw in Israel.

It will certainly be interesting to see where this ends up in November considering constant attacks from both sides and the dead heat polling numbers.
