I didn't realize it until now (since I've been out of town), but Brazil's World Cup dreams were crushed last Saturday by France. I couldn't believe when I first saw it this morning. I think I remember seeing the score flashing at the train station, but it just didn't click until now. BRAZIL WILL NOT ADVANCE TO THE FINAL GAME!! You might ask yourself why I am so excited about this. Well, I always love it when the underdog wins. Brazil was highly expected to win it all, but I guess not now. The semi-finals are now full of European teams (France, Italy, Germany, and Portugal). Viva France for getting rid of Brazil! (more here)
