Ford is Out...Again

Ophelia Ford of Memphis was removed from her State Senate position after her peers determined that there were too many irregularities during her election last year. Twelve of the votes cast were officially determined to be invalid because they had been cast by dead people and felons, and she won the election by only 13 votes. Myself, I'm happy that another Ford has left the Senate chamber; I really don't trust this family especially after the experience Tennessee had with John Ford. I really, though, shouldn't judge her character based on her blood-relations, but the election certainly did go wrong. The people of Memphis at least have a chance to have a fair election. Jessie Jackson is jumping all over the voter irregularities in New Orleans; its funny that he isn't jumping all over this in Memphis. Maybe because the candidate is of his own race? (story here)
