From the Hospital to McDonald's

A hospital in Scotland is ending their "brave kids" program that sends kids to McDonald's. The program gave vouchers for a free happy meal to children patients that had been "brave" during their treatment. I find it kind of ironic that of all places a hospital sent children was to a fast food joint at no cost. Talk about a great reward: free fat! Now don't think that I am totally against eating at fast food places. I think that it is ok if it is consumed in moderation, but the hospital gave off the wrong message by sending those kids to McDonald's. A hospital is associated with healthy living and a place to get better. When this hospital sent those kids to McDonald's, they were showing those kids that it was ok to eat all that fatty food. I'm glad that they have decided to end the program. (story here)
