The Real Blizzard of '06

Remember that blizzard that I talked about last Sunday? Well, it no longer compares to the snow storm that we got last night. As I walked outside the gym from our International Club meeting last night, I noticed that it had been snowing a little bit. Later that night, I went to the SAC and played racquetball. When I left, snow had covered the ground, and it was absolutely beautiful! Some of my friends and I decided that we couldn't let this rare opportunity go by without some fun in the snow. So I laid down my books, put on some warmer clothes, and ran outside. Here are some highlights of the evening:

>>50-100 Carson-Newman students were on the front lawn of Henderson having a huge snowball fight. Of course I was involved.

>>We then went to the science/math building to use the trays that we "borrowed" last year from the cafeteria. We used them to ride down the steep hill in front of the building. We have been waiting for so long to use those things! We went head first, backwards, standing up, rolling, etc.

>>We then walked around campus to see other beauties that our snow-covered campus offered us.

>>I found some of my friends from Korea and hanged out with them for a while.

>>We ventured to the back side of Swann Hall to the smackdaddy-sized hill/cliff. Going down that hill with the trays was simply amazing! I actually flew in the air for a few seconds. It was, however, hard to climb back up. My roommate had trouble and crash landed at the bottom.

>>We then got some snowballs and hit the windows of some girls we knew that lived in Swann. We then went to the front and threw somemore snowballs. Some Jeff City drunkards had their car hit with a snowball by some other people, and they got kind of mad and jumped out of their car and threatened everyone that threw snowballs. They got in the middle of the street and started to yell things that I won't repeat here, but they eventually chickened out and left in their car.

>>Some of my friends wanted to go back so I went to meet-up with my Korean friends. They were building a snowman with a huge head. We then took pictures and played in the snow. The snowman, however, crashed before we left.

>>I went back to my room at about 2:30. The snow had made the adrenaline rush through my body so when I got back my body just crashed. I've been kind of sluggish all day.

Here are more pictures.

By the way, I wasn't blog lazy yesterday. Our campus network was down once again, and I wasn't able to post anything.
