Governor Blanco of Louisiana further proves the wonderful leader that she is. News media in the state is reporting that she ordered 564,000 dollars worth of office renovations days after Hurricane Katrina hit. Not only was this decision made at the time of disaster, but the state was also facing budget cuts and a possibility of having to cut the state workforce by 20 percent. How many of her staff would be working in the renovated area? 20! I really do not think that spending 500 thousand dollars for 20 workers is very financially responsible. (story here)
