Spint strikers in the Tri-Cities region will not be voting on a new contract today (as mentioned in this post). There are still many issues to be resolved between union and Sprint officials; they cannot come to an agreement regarding back-to-work issues. One of the sticking points that they are having to deal with is that Sprint wants to have the ability to punish some workers. Although they would say that only a few would be punished for breaking strike guidelines, the company would more than likely go to the extreme and punish more than just the rule breakers; union leaders certainly have a big job of making sure that Sprint does not step over the line during the back-to-work process.

The issues were settled and we did end up having a vote today. I won't know how it went until 6:00 or later, it should be updated on the CWA web site. Put it this way, no thanks to the Carolina's supporting us or maybe I should say the CWA International.
