Sprint strikers in the Tri-Cities might be back to work soon. According to the Kingsport Times-News, union officials and Sprint-Nextel has reached a precursor tentative deal on their contract. Issues still to be resolved are back-to-work conditions, which are not expected to be a problem. Details of the agreement have not yet been released to the public. Union members met last night to discuss the agreement, and it will be voted on next Friday (Dec 9). If members do not approve the agreement, the strike will continue. This strike is the first in the Tri-Cities since the 1970s and is the longest strike to date. (story here) (official union updates here)
