I don't really understand why Bono and the Gates were chosen as the 2005 Persons of the Year (story here). I don't really remember them making too many headlines this year or maybe I just always just missed the stories. What about the war in Iraq or the hurricane season? Those stories stick out more in my mind than Bono and the Gates giving millions of dollars to charity.
