Wednesday Prayer Meeting: Sep 7

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

Please lift these requests up to our Lord and Savior in a special word of prayer.

Please keep all the victims of the gulf coast tragedy in your prayers. These people are struggling and certainly need your support in prayer! Many have lost their jobs, their livelihood, and their loved ones; few of us know what it is like to go through all of this at the same time. Pray that God puts a special touch on these people and that they could recover quickly. Also, remember the relief workers and officials that are trying to brings these lives back to normalcy. Please pray that these workers are protected and are given strength.

Remember Joie and his physical condition. Joie has a hard time functioning because it is very painful for him to move; he believes that he has a cracked rib. Please pray that the pain will subside and that he will recover quickly.

An anonymous person would like prayer lifted for a special person on their heart that "needs prayer and direction." This person also wanted prayer for the hurricane victims, our soldiers, and our President.

I would appreciate your prayers regarding the direction of my life; I want to see God's path for my life and that I would be willing to follow it.

Also, please keep our soldiers and national leaders in your prayers. The soldiers and their families are going through hard times right now and could certainly use God's help. Remember our leaders that they make the right decisions regarding the direction of our country.

God told us in Matthew 7:7-11:
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
He shows us in His word the power of prayer; all we have to is be diligent and leave our needs at His feet. Don't trust your troubles in the hands of humans; give it all to God...He knows exactly what to do.

If you have any comments to make, be sure to post them. The next Wednesday Prayer Meeting will be on September 21. If you have an urgent prayer request that can't wait that long, be sure to email me and it will be posted as soon as possible.
