"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
Please uplift the following prayers to our Lord and Savior:
An anonymous person asked requested the following: "Please pray that the storm Rita will only be a storm and not a hurricane. If it be the Lord's will that it hit land, that it not do destruction to the area's that are going to be hit. Pray for our cities that have been hit hard by Katrina. We need to pray for our country and our president. Pray for our church, Lord knows where it is at, we have some big issues coming up soon and we need his will in the decisions that are to be made. Pray for his guidance in my life, that I will know his will and do his will. Pray for someone special in my life that needs the Lords direction in their life."
Another anonymous person has burden for an unborn baby with heart problems. This is what this person has asked for: "Need prayer for an unborn baby that has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. The options are 3 major open heart surgeries with no guarantee or to let the baby die soon after birth. We need to pray the Lord's will in this small baby's life and to give the parents some insight on what to do in this situation. Pray for the parents for they are going through a lot of mental and emotional stress right now."
I would appreciate your prayers in that I find God's guidance in my life, and I declare the major that He wants for my life. I also want to know which path to follow in my life that He sees appropriate for me.
Also remember the Hurricane Relief Team here at Carson-Newman. Please pray that we find enough transportation for everyone and that we earn enough money to cover the expenses.
Please remember these requests. The next Wednesday Prayer Service will be on October 5. If you have a request, click the link on the sidebar listed under "prayer requests." If you have an urgent request, me notify me in the body so that I can post it earlier.
