The Ford family is celebrating today as Ophelia Ford, the sister of Tennessee Waltzed former-Senator John Ford, won the Democrat primary in Memphis (story here, bugmenot username). This puts her in the Senate race against Republican Terry Roland. I just don't get this! Why do the people of Memphis continuously put the Ford family in elected offices? They, at least
John Ford has, proved that they cannot be trusted! John himself has been investigated and probed over and over again over ethics violations while serving at the capitol, even before the TN Waltz sting. Even though John had shown that he could not be trusted through many investigations in the past, the people of Memphis continued to place him in the state Senate for 31 years! Obviously, these people don't get the picture! (no offense to Memphis readers) Sure, this woman might be a total different story than her brother, but as the saying goes, "blood runs thick for family." I really hope that these people don't make another mistake by putting another Ford in a very powerful position.
