The NCAA gets politically correct and bans any nicknames, logos, or team names that relates to Indians from any postseason games (story here). They also said that anything deemed "hostile or abusive" would not be allowed on uniforms or mascots (talk about a can of worms that has just been opened!). You know I always looked forward to the bashing of Indians (maybe I should say Native Americans) at any NCAA postseason game that I went to; I don't know about you, but that was always the highlight of my evening. Do you really think that the use of an Indian mascot is "hostile." Myself, I would find it to be somewhat of a complement; you know students saying something like, "I'm proud to be an Indian." Looks like the liberals are taking over the football field now; I guess they got bored talking about the war.Filed Under: news, sports
