Movin' In Early

You might have noticed yesterday that blogging was very light; for the first time in a while, I did not make a daily post! Shock and awe, I tell ya! Well, I do have a good excuse though. I was moving in my stuff for the fall semester at CN and the start of my sophomore year. Although I did move in a majority of my stuff, I am not living in the dorms yet; I am still living at home. I think I should clear up some confusion because quite a few people think I am back on campus. I have to go back Wednesday-Friday for a job at my work-study, and I needed to move my stuff in this weekend because my parents couldn't take off work in the middle of the week (and I surely didn't want to move in by my lonesome self). I was very surprised though; it took me just a few hours to move everything in. Last year, it took me forever; I guess I am more familiar with the room layout and knew where I wanted everything to go. I did start of the move in process with a bit of shock. The guy at the desk told me that my room was 316, and I was fine with that. Then, we go upstairs, and we walk down the hall towards the room. Then, we walk past my roommate and the room that I was supposed to be in (my roommate is back already helping with the football program). I thought to myself, "oh my god, my roommate has moved me into another room without telling me!" I was relieved, though, when my roommate told the worker that 316 was the wrong room and that I was suppose to be in 314. Brief heart attack! For Carson-Newman fans, the new football stadium is coming along well. It looks huge; a lot bigger than the old one was! I just hope that they finish construction before the season starts; it doesn't look half way finished. Well, here comes another year.

  1. Hey Shawn!
Hows it going? I cant believe its time to move back in and get back into the college life! Thats exciting. I did have some info about the new stadium- its not going to be ready for the season start. In fact its not even going to be ready for the first home game which is mid-september. We are going to be playing at a different spot for our 'home game.' Something like Seviere County stadium or something like that. Well I hope all goes well with your first fews days back at CN! I'll see you saturday woot woot!

  2. Hey Brittany! I can't believe that it is time, either! I am sort of excited and sort of scared at the same time! I can't believe that about the stadium; you think they would had plenty of time to have built it by now. Oh well. See ya!

  3. Yup, Brittany's right about the stadium and all that. The first home game will be at Sevier County High School and I've heard once or twice through the grapevine that Homecoming might actually be the first game in the new stadium. I'm so jealous that you're already (or close to) being back on campus. But then again, I have no idea where my stuff is so I'll need to get cracking on that this week!!
