The way I look at it is that you have as much right to your room as he does. I think you are paying as much as he is to use this room. It sounds to me like someone is being sort of selfish. You need to know what the problem is with the previous arrangements and see what can be worked out. If you have to leave the room when he is in bed, the same respect should be shown to you. When two or more are sharing the cost of something, well a happy medium will have to be reached, it can't always go one way.
