Blogging for Freedom!

Imagine that people are put in prison because they endorsed a certain political position that went against what the state wanted to be said. Imagine a world were the government observes every online political statement is banned. Sounds like a communist state, doesn't it? Well, it could soon be coming to a democracy near you! People in Washington are wanting to get rid of the right of bloggers to express their political ideas online (aka support a certain candidate). I feel that this is entirely wrong and goes against the entire foundation of our country. A group of people from both the right and left have come together to form the Online Coalition. I urge to click here and sign this even if you are a blogger or not. These lawmakers are taking away our freedoms and something must be done about it!

  2. Excellent post. We are extremely concerned with the continued move of government into the freedoms of citizens. Early this week we posted about the inability to legislate morality - http://www.team-swap.com/wordpress/2005/03/30/you-can-not-legistalate-morality/
We are extremely concerned about the reduction in rights for the average citizen. When a few limit the majority we run the great risk of the average person not noticing that they have fewer freedoms until it is too late. Keep pitching the truth and eventually a few will catch it and run with it on their own. ROCK ON ON ROCKY TOP
