This weekend (including Thursday night) has been very interesting experience for me. I have definitely been expanding my horizons a bit. Well, first let me share my Friday night experience. I have a conversion partner from the campus center for foreign students to learn english. His name is Shown (funny that it's so similar, isn't it?) and is from South Korea. We started meeting last semester, but I never had time to meet after that because it was near the end of school, and I was extremely buay then. Well, he invited me over his apartment to have some South Korean food. Such great food! I had been having a little carving for some oriental food, and I got it. You all won't believe it, but I actually ate all of my rice! Shocking, isn't it? It was so interesting talking about difference between my culture and his. One interesting point is that books for college in his country is half the price that it is here even after it is shipped half way around the country. That stinks for me! I felt bad for his friend that was there. He has to go back to South Korea and serve in the military. Every male has serve two years in that country before they turn 28 (I believe, don't quote me). I think he was a little depressed about that. The food and conversation was great! Thank you again Shown if you are reading this! Also, this weekend, I have been learning how to knit. Yes, it is true. You read it right. Not a typo. I told some girls that I know that I wanted to learn how a while ago. So I got me some needles and one of them gave a whole ball of thread to practice on, and another girl taught the basics on Thursday night (after The Apprentice of course). Tonight a bunch of gathered at the campus ministries buidling for a knitting party. The Baptist ministry is asking people to knit squares for a blanket for needy babies, and they offered some lessons too. That was a lot of fun (regardless of the fact that I was the only male), and I learned a lot too. Don't laugh at me; I like it!
You ate all of your whattttt!!!! I thought you said your rice, you must have misspelled the word. I'm proud of you with the knitting, especially the squares for needy baby blankees. You learn, then you can make me something. Love Ya!!!! Guess who?
