The Love for Christmas Shopping

Well, I finally went Christmas shopping last Thursday. Yes, finally. I feel really bad this year. I usually know what I am getting everyone by at least the first week of December, and I definitely have my Christmas cards bought and distributed by this time. I for sure disappointed myself this year. Oh well. At least I have most of it done now. I just have one person that I still need to get presents for. There was one advantage to waiting so long. I ran into lots of great sales. I got one item for $10 that was regualarly $25; isn't that awesome?! I thought it was. I actually thought about waiting even closer to Christmas to finish shopping and take advantage of the many sales that I am sure will take place then, but I thought I better go and get this over with. I didn't think that shopping would take me too long, but it sure did! I had no idea what to get my family and friends; I was clueless! I just walked around the mall aimlessly for hours without having bought anything. I don't know how many laps I made around the mall. I bet some of the workers there thought that I was walking around like those old people do in the morning. I did feel like a fool at one of those calendar things in the middle of the mall that sells only calendars. I bought this neat one for someone (can't reveal yet), and I saw another one that I could get someone but I wasn't sure if they had one or not. So, I decided to go to the bookstore after I bought the other one and get it there because I knew that I could return it there. I walk that way after buying one of the calendars, pick it up, and go to pay for it. I was just standing in line waiting to pay and the guy from the calendar place comes running in for a coupon on one of the stores in the mall. He had forgotten to give it to me earlier. I had in hand the other calendar that I was buying. I felt so foolish! I was just at the calendar place and went to the bookstore to get another. Oh well, the guy can get over it. I am so glad that I got most of my shopping done. Now I can engage in one of my favorite Christmastime activities, wrapping. Wrapping is an art to me, and I have a great time doing it. I do, however, hate wrapping for other people. I would rather only do my gifts (people that I am around, note that for future reference). Well, Merry Christmas everyone!
