Last Saturday was the third anniversary of the horrible attacks of September 11th. I don't know if you all noticed it or not, but I never really did see much mourning on that day. No one was really sad. In fact, I didn't even notice it was September 11th until I check out cnn.com for the day's news. Talk about a major change from last year and the year before that. I remember seeing those horrible images on tv, and then seeing the tremendous grief around the nation when it happened. I couldn't believe what I had saw! It was amazing to see America come together and put aside their differences the last two years and mourn over this event. Every year, people came together for the anniversary, put everything aside, and remembered those victims and their families. This year, it was a little different. You could go outside and not notice it was the third anniversary of one of the most horrific events of American history. It took people forever to get over the Pearl Harbor attack. Now, it only takes us three years to get over something that horrible. How sad that is. Now, the attack has become the center of politics, and people fight over it more than they mourn over it. That is what our American culture has come to.
