Election season is getting ready to kick into full swing. This election year will be the first time I will be able to vote since I just turned 18 last May. Many people have been asking me: Are you going to vote? Who will you vote for? Yes, I will indeed be voting this year. I believe that every eligible voter should vote. There have been too many American soldiers die for us to take for granted our basic rights. So, if you ever catch me not voting, kick me in the butt. Now for the second question: who will I be voting for? I can tell you that I will vote for and support our President, George W Bush. Many people may ask, why in the world would you want to support him for? Well, my answer is very simple. I support our President because of our common faith in the Lord Almighty. I know that this President will not do anything without first consulting the Lord, and I know that Bush has the faith that can lead our country into a brighter era. I believe 100% that our God will bless a nation that has godly leaders in control of it. I think that Bush is one of these types of leaders, and I believe that our country would be greatly blessed from God under his leadership. Let me clear up something; I do not support everything that our President does. But, everyone is not perfect and there will never be a President that someone agrees with everything they do. I want a President, though, in times of national crisis will address the nation from his office with a word of prayer and a quote from the Bible. Bush has done this from September 11th to the shuttle disaster and during war. This November, I will be proud to vote for Bush, a God-fearing President. We have turned our heads away from God many times in the past. Let's not turn our heads in 2004.
