The New Generation of Christians

A new generation of Christians are growing up, and this fact is scaring me to death. The reason that this does scare is that these Christians are not your everyday Christians. They are the "new" Christians. I have been growing up with these people, and this time being around these people has created an awareness within myself with the state of the Christian youth. These individuals call themselves "Christians," but they never live up to the name. I know countless people that I have grown up with who say they have been saved and believe in Christ, but they do not act like true Christians. These people go to church every Sunday, but once they leave the church they live a life of deadly sin. First let me clear up something, Christians do sin. This is a fact. There is no perfect Christian in the world. Just because we have been saved by grace, this does not mean that we do not sin. The difference between the old generation of Christians and the new is that they involve themselves in such ungodly activities that even the unsaved would tell you that they are sinning. These new Christians speak the most profane words, treat others not like them like trash, take part in pre-marital sex, drink heavily, take drugs, and act like the rest of the world. I know two so-called young "preachers" that I wouldn't trust by dog to be ministered by them little long my child or anyone else. I fear the day when I will have to look for a church to go to, and I will not know whether or not to trust the pastor. This day is coming soon, too. These young "preachers" are growing up, and they will soon want a church to pastor. It will also soon get harder and harder for the unsaved to see the truth. They will look at these "Christians" and see that there is no difference between them. They will think since they act the same way as these "Christians" then they, too, will be able to get into Heaven. How sad it will be when people will die and go to Hell just because today's "Christians" cannot live a proper Christian life. I only pray that God will intervene and help these people and help the church as a whole. Christians everywhere reading this, please listen to me. Remember, even though you have a free ticket to Heaven, not everyone does. The people that don't are watching your every move if you call yourself a Christian. Show them God's true love, and show them the true Christian way.
