A California woman is the first to sue the company responsible for the unbreakable Nalgene water bottles. She claims that the company knew the potential danger of chemicals in the bottles yet downplayed the risk to consumers. The woman has not suffered and physical problems; of course, someone is look for a quick way to get some money.
Myself, I am debating whether or not to continue using my recently purchased Nalgene bottle. It is great for taking water on the go. They are suppose to start making the bottles without the dooming BPA chemical, but I'm not sure if it is truly dangerous or not. There seems to be conflicting reports, and I'm not really sure what to do. I hate to give it up, but I don't want to expose myself to chemicals that will give me cancer. One of the people I work with replaced her bottle with a mason jar; I swore it was a jar of moonshine, but she won't fess up to it.

Gore Used Fictional Graphics
Apparently, Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" wasn't completely truthful. According to a report done by ABC News, Gore used a fake shot of a collapsing ice shelf in Antarctica while suggesting the image was real. Not only was the shot fake, but it was originally used for the opening credits for the movie "The Day After Tomorrow." Interesting.
Earth Day at CN
The CN Art Department recognized Earth Day by creating a life-sized graph of increasing levels of CO2 emmissions over the years along with the increase in population; better yet, it was all made out of string and recycled aluminum cans. I think Al would be proud.
The cafeteria recognized it by offering no trays. Did I mention how retarded this was? We pay Aramark good money (much more than it's worth) to provide basic services - such as a tray. Although I didn't eat in the cafe, I don't think it was appropriate to take away the trays. They should have at least given patrons the option to not use a tray. Being environmentally savvy is a good marketing tool until you force consumers to do the same. Then you create angry customers.
