Happy Suwon Turns Into Sad Suwon

A couple of Saturdays ago, Isabel (a teacher from my school) and I traveled south to the city of Suwon. We went to see the World Heritage Site Hwaseong Fortress and attend the annual cultural festival. We had a great time with all the festivities. We got to see a lot of performances, and I was even interviewed twice about the festival. Koreans love to see foreigners enjoying Korean things. The fortress wall is wildly famous to Koreans and this is the only remaining city wall in Korea that surrounds the whole town. Isabel and I made an effort to hike around the complete wall; we did it successfully! However, on the return trip home, I lost my camera somewhere either on the subway or bus. I'm pretty sure that it dropped out of my coat pocket since I don't remember ever taking it out after the last I used it. Unfortunately, I had taken lots of great pictures that day so all of those are lost. I had the Korean manager at my school call the subway system, but they didn't find it. I'm going to have him call the bus company on Monday to see if they have it. However, it looks like I'll end up having to buy a new one.
