Free the Dog

Have you ever watched that wonderful and inspirational show "Dog the Bounty Hunter"? If you haven't, I would definitely recommend this show. This is a reality series that comes on A&E. This guy Duane Chapman, nicknamed Dog, was a former convict heavily involved in crime until one day he decided to leave that life behind him. Ever since then, he has been fighting crime. He goes out on bounty hunts for people needed to be sent back to jail. What is different about Dog, thought, is that he aims to help these criminals by treating them with respect and trying to be a friend. In transit back to jail, Dog gives the criminals a cigarette and good talking to. He tries to show them a little love in the hopes of them straighting out their lives. Back in September, though, Dog and his team was arrested by the federal government because they are wanted in Mexico for kidnapping charges. These charges stem from their capture of Andrew Luster, an American rapist who had fled to Mexico to escape charges. Dog and his team then made the journey to Mexico and captured Luster. Although they are now out of jail on bail, the team is still awaiting trial in the US regarding extradition; he also still faces charges in Mexico. The fate of Dog and his team hangs in the balance. It is still possible for the US government to deny extradition. To support Dog and his team, visit Dog's website and sign this petition.
