Former Senator Roscoe Dixon, a Democrat from Memphis, has been convicted guilty of extortion. He could face up to 90 years in prison. He, of course, used the race card saying that justice officials were just trying to get rid of black lawmakers. I would like to see him behind bars for all 90 years for taking advantage of the people of Memphis and Tennessee. Of course, I really doubt he will be sent up the river for that long. I'm just glad that justice has been served; I just hope other lawmakers see this as a wake-up call and treat their office with respect. (story here)
