Senate Candidates on Immigration

Today's Tennessean is reporting the lack of a difference between all four candidates for Tennessee's seat in US Senate. All of them disagree with Bush's guest worker program being proposed, and none of them support Frist's leadership on the controversial issue that has sparked mass protests across the country. The Tennessean did say that the candidates did differ slightly:

Hilleary is the only one who talks about authorizing local police to help enforce immigration laws.

Ford is the only one who talks about encouraging liberty and opportunity in other countries as one way to stop illegal border crossers.

And Ford and Corker say there might be good reasons for the government to issue some official tests and forms in languages other than English. Bryant and Hilleary don't.

I guess this won't be a big issue then. (story here)
