Here We Go

Action is finally being taken against Iran and their nuclear program. The IAEA decided to report the country's actions to the UN Security Council, which has the power to impose sanctions. Iran, in response, has said that they will no longer support a plan to enrich uranium in Russia, and they will begin the process inside the country. The only problem is that the Security Council can take no action until March because of an restriction imposed by Russia and China. I really don't think that action by the UN will produce many results, but I am glad that some kind of work on the issue is being done. I find it funny when countries yell that we need to follow the diplomatic approach; don't they remember that the diplomatic approach has been taken for many, many years now? It hasn't worked up to now; what makes them think that it is still an option? (story here)
