"Sprint Employees Deserve Respect"

Be sure to support your local Sprint-Nextel strikers! If you are from the Tri-Cities and a few other areas on the East Coast, you might have heard that Sprint workers have gone on strike. I want everyone to not misunderstand the situation. Don't think that these workers are lazy or just want to cause problems; these hard-working people are just the opposite. These employees have worked hard everyday for this billion-dollar corporation. After their labor and dedication, the company decides that the employees do not deserve the benefits that they have worked so hard for and was included in the contract that just expired. The union of workers, however, do not want the contract changed at all; they don't want anything extra. Sprint, on the other hand, wants to replace retiring workers with contractors, cut contributions to 401(k) retirement plans, eliminate extra pay for work on Sundays, and shorten the length of short-term disability. Myself, I think these are benefits that should be expected from any company! These employees deserve respect for their hard work; they shouldn't have to bargain away what they have rightfully earned! My mother happens to work for Sprint and has done so for around 30 years. I know first hand that this disrespect from Sprint is not a sudden occurrence; for years, the company has been treating their employees with dishonor. Every three years that the contract has to be renewed, the union is always on the verge of striking before a last minute deal falls through. These employees, however, continue to work hard despite the disrespect that they have been receiving for a few years now. The company has become more focused on profits and less on customer and employee satisfaction. If you see a Sprint employee on strike, support them in any way that you can. All they are doing is trying to gain the respect that they have spent many years working hard to earn. And if you are a contractor, please don't cross the picket line; respect them and their cause.   1. Gosh. A big business that stabs its employees in the back? With all those good Christian conservative Republicans controlling Congress for 10 years and the White House for almost 6, who could have ever guessed that executives would get fat and rich while workers suffered? What a shock! I'm absolutely stunned!

    And guess what. The people who have been most harmed by BushCo are the working classes who voted for him. Now they're getting exactly what they deserve and exactly what they voted for, so I have absolutely no sympathy for them.

    The CWA endorsed Kerry in 2004, but many CWA members voted Bush. Look at how well that's turning out.

  2. First of all, I don't appreciate criticism without leaving some sort of name. Since you didn't bother to leave one (or some pen name), you must not have any confidence in your statement.

    Second of all, you certainly must not have any ethics. "They're getting exactly what they deserve..." Sorry, but you must have had a rough childhood to be so ruthless to your fellow humans.

    Also, I think the working class that voted for Bush in '04 was more interested in the stance he had on issues such as abortion, gay marriage, prayer, etc. I think that if Kerry was elected last time around, this strike would have still taken place. Sprint workers have had many problems with management and benefits for many years (even throughout the Clinton administration). I really doubt that Kerry would have enacted much of anything that would prevented this strike.

    And, is it just me, or am I sensing some hate against Christians? We are a religion of love and care; if you need some enlightenment about our faith and God, I would be more than willing to help you.

    By the way, conservative Republicans have not controlled Congress for 10 years. The shift switched from Democrats to Republicans during the 2002 midterm election.

    For you sir that believes that voting for Bush is the reason for this people having to fight for their families to have health care that is decent among their other causes, I would like to tell you that I was raised democrat but voted REPUBLICAN for the simple reason that KERRY came into the running with no morale or values. I as a christian believe strongly that if our nation kept up with true morale and values "WE THE PEOPLE" would have a better life and would not have to struggle for what we know is right. If you would remember back it was DEMOCRAT BILL CLINTON who opened the door to NAFTA which is causing many of our HARD WORKING TAX PAYING MAKE THE RICH RICHER and THE POOR POORER AMERICAN PEOPLE lose their jobs to plants moving over seas. The one thing that would be a blessing would be to get rid of NAFTA and pass a law that all companies that move over seas would not be permitted to import the products back to the USA therefore not allowing them to get richer while we lose our jobs. As for SPRINT STRIKERS I would like to say GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES and I pray that GOD rewards you all with his GRACE and ABUNDANCE and SHALL YOU BE RICHER THAN THOSE WHO HAVE BROUGHT YOU TO THIS TIME OF NEED!!!!!!!!   5. PEOPLE THAT ARE DEFENDING SPRINT ARE MORONS! IN OKLAHOMA SPRINT HAS THE #1 HIGHEST TURN OVER RATE. THEY EXPECTED US TO RESOLVE CUSTOMERS ISSUES IN 12 MINS TOPS AND SPRINT HAVE JACKED UP SYSTEMS. OKLAHOMA CALL CENTER PROVIDES A "HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT" TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. THEY FUDGE STATS AND NOTHING WE DO IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM. I KNOW PEOPLE THAT WERE FIRED FOR RESOLVING THE CUSTOMERS ISSUES. THE CUSTOMERS SAID THE REP PROVIDED EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LEAVE UP TO THE MORONS MANAGEMENT TEAM, MANAGEMENT WOULD SAY "NO YOU WERE RUDE TO THE CUSTOMERS".THE NEW HIRES WERE THE RUDE ONES AND NEVER LOST THEIR JOBS. BUT ALMOST ALL REPS THATS BEEN THERE FOR 5 YEARS & UP WERE TERMINATED. SPRINT OKC MANAGEMENT TEAM FALSIFIED RECORDS, STATS, FORCING PEOPLE BACK OFF MEDICAL LEAVE TO FIRE THEM AFTER THEY HAVE CREATED A HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT. MUST I KEEP GOING? THEY'RE FORCING REPS TO BE RUDE TO CUSTOMERS, WITH STIPULATIONS AND FEAR OF LOSING THEIR JOBS DUE TO AVERAGE HANDLE TIM, BASICALLY HOW LONG WE TALK TO THE CUSTOMER. I COULD TELL YOU A LOT CROOKED THINGS THIS CALL CENTER IS DOING.I WILL BE BACK WITH MY INFO AND I GUARANTEE YOU WOULD WANT TO BAN THIS COMPANY FOR EMPLOYEE ABUSE!!!DAN HESSE ISN'T DOING ANYTHING TO HELP HIS DEDICATED EMPLOYEES. HE WILL BACK THE MANAGEMENT TEAM TO THE FULLEST, EVEN AFTER THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS SENT TO HIS OFFICE FROM EMPLOYEES THAT WORKED FOR OKLAHOMA CALL CENTER.HR IS A JOKE AND THEIR OPEN DOOR POLICIES IS SETUP.   6. 1. FUCK THE SPRINT OKLAHOMA CALL CENTER. THEY ARE FIRING EVERY EMPLOYEE INVESTED IN THE COMPANY. THIS CALL CENTER WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST FOR BEING THE WORST CALL CENTER. NOW, THEIR SETTING PEOPLE UP TO LOSE THEIR JOBS. WE TOLD WE WOULD NOT BE AFFECTED BY THE 8000 JOBS LOSES WITH IN CORPORATE. BUT MAJORITY OF JOB LOSES WERE REPS THAT HAVE BEEN THERE FOR 5 YEARS OR MORE. IN OKLAHOMA WE HAVE LAWS THAT DO NOT PROTECT US “AT WILL” & “RIGHT TO WORK” LAWS! THEY WOULD THREATEN US RUSH CUSTOMERS OFF THE PHONE IN 11 TO 12 MINS OF RESOLVING THERE ISSUES. HOW COULD WE RESOLVE ISSUES WHEN SPRINT HAS JACKED UP SYSTEMS.OKLAHOMA CITY IS COMMITTING FRAUD IN THEIR OWN COMPANY.HR WAS A JOKE AND THEY WOULD HELP THE EMPLOYEES WITH A HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT. YES THE AMBULANCE IS THERE EVERYDAY FROM PEOPLE HAVING STROKES, HEART ATTACKS, THEY HAVE FIRED AND RE HIRED PREGNANT PEOPLE, MADE DIFFERENCES AND THEN TRIED TO COVER IT UP. SPRINT IS LIKE AIG & ENRON EXCEPT, WE HAVEN’T HAD A RAISE IN 2 YEARS. SOMEONE NEED TO STOP THE OKLAHOMA CALL CENTER OF THIS BEHAVIOR. I HAVE HUNDREDS OF EMPLOYEES NUMBERS AND WERE GOING TO PICKET THIS COMPANY AND WE WANT PUBLIC APOLOGIES. THESE PEOPLE ARE MONSTERS AND ITS NOT FAIR TO PEOPLE THAT WERE DEDICATED AND COMMITTED TO RESOLVING THE CUSTOMERS ISSUES. WE LOST ARE JOBS TO NEW PEOPLE AND THEIR PAYING MORE MONEY TO RETRAIN NEW HIRE. SPRINT HAS THE HIGHTEST TURN OVER RATE IN OKLAHOMA AND NO ONE IS INVESTIGATING “WHY”!! I WAS SETUP TO BE FIRED! MY TEAM LEAD FUDGED MY STATS, THEY WOULD HIRE ME IN DIFFERENT POSITIONS, EVEN THOUGH I 100% GOAL, THEY GAVE NEW HIRES THE JOB OR YOU HAD TO BE HAVING SEX WITH THEM OR KISS ASS. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS. ITS NOT SPRINT ITS THEIR MANAGEMENT THAT WONT INVESTIGATE THE CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES.I HEARD DAN HESSE WILL BE ASKING FOR A BAILOUT PLAN. IT CHEAPER TO KEEP THE EMPLOYEES THATS BEEN THEIR FOR YEARS. ITS NOT FAIR TO ANYONE TO LOSE THEIR JOBS TO PEOPLE THAT DONT KNOW THE JOB.WHO WANT TO HELP ME BAN OKLAHOMA CALL CENTER SPRINT.   7. I would like to say that corporate bullying actually undermines the health of a workforce. It's an attack on our public health. Companies intentionally inflict emotional distress to an employee which is designed to disrupt the performance of that employee. These disruptions of performance are then levied against the employee from negative performance reviews, corrective actions, and even fabricated events and coaching sessions to substantiate the legitimacy of the scrutiny. Often times, these attacks actually cause the very disruptions in performance the employees are reprimanded for. How can we allow this in our current economic crisis. When a company actively causes churn for some unknown gain, shouldn't we be asking why? Especially when the majority of employees churned this way end up approved on unemployment contributing to the crisis. This should be UNacceptable in the state of Oklahoma. So, this is violating all of our civil & human rights; Blacks, White, Hispanics, Asian, native Americans, etc… Young, old, all religions. We are feeling the pain or have felt it one way or another. We should be picketing Sprint, sending letter to Obama, writing the congress and media. I have written in already and spoken to hundreds of lawyers and they cannot or will not help me. Check in your state to see if you have A “RIGHT TO WORK” or “At WILL”
    law in your area. Sprint wants to beat AT&T in customers service, because they suck and treat their former or current employees BAD! OKLAHOMA AND Topeka Kansas TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES BAD! Please people, don’t believe the hype. We have sprint employers writing on this blog! What I say is the TRUTH and Sprint is a LIE!!!!
