Wed Prayer Meeting: Oct 5

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

Please uplift the following prayers to our Lord and Savior:

My mom has asked for everyone to pray for these requests: "Pray for Courtney Beard who is at Vanderbilt burn institute due to 30% of her body being burned due to an auto accident where her friend was killed. Pray for our church, our country, our president and all our soldiers that are serving our country. Pray for all the families who have lost loved ones this past week. Also, pray for all the missionaries who diligently go and tell the world about our Lord and Saviour. Pray for Misty Weaver who is having surgery this week and for Sara Mullins concerning her heart condition."

Please also remember the Carson-Newman Hurricane Relief Team in your prayers. The 200+ member team will be leaving next Wednesday evening and will be going to Mississippi. Please pray that we are given the energy and strength to help as many people as possible. Please also pray that we might be able to share Christ's message during our time there. Thankfully, God has provided the finances and transportation for us!

Also, please remember me in your prayers. I am going some hard times right now, and I could certainly use God's comfort. I have been struggling with a few issues in my life, such as God's direction for my life, and things have just been difficult (mentally and physically).

The people listed above would certainly appreciate your prayers; thank you so much for your support of the Christian family! If you have an urgent request, please notify me.

  1. Shawn,
I know what it's like to go through tough times and how it feels to have no direction in life. Just keep your chin up, and keep praying. God will give you direction if you keep asking Him. Sometimes, I think we forget that he works on his time and not our time. God knows what's best for us, and he knows exactly when to act. God loves you, Shawn, and so do the rest of your friends. Just remember, we're a phonecall away or just right down the hall. If you need anything, just let me know. I hope you have a wonderful day, and keep being the great guy that you are.

  2. Thanks Adam for the encouragement! I greatly appreciate! I'm so glad to know that I have people to lean on, and I hope everyone else realizes they can also come to me when times are bad. :o)
