Servin' Up a Chief Justice

BUSH PICKS ROBERTS

Bush has just nominated Roberts to serve as the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. I think this was a wise decision on Bush's part. Roberts has already been labeled as "well qualified" by the ABA and has met the general approval of many lawmakers. Some say that this battle for the court will not be so bad for Roberts because he is a conservative (at least that's what we think) replacing another conservative (Rehnquist). The only problem that I see is Roberts lack of experience on the court to serve as Chief Justice; he is only in his fifties and has never served on the top court. Although, he has made many arguments before the court. I think ultimately he will be confirmed (unless something drastic happens). Story here.
