Heading Southwest

Head Northeast, that's the rally call for Northeast Community College in Blountville. Well, I'm certainly heading Southwest, far away from that place. My Probs & Stats Intersession course ended today with the class final. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? Well, I did pretty good on it and finished the course with an A (woot woot!). I did leave the place with much grief and harsh feelings. When I registered for the class, I was told that I could wait until Monday (the day classes started) to pay my fees without any penalty. I was fine with that considering I didn't have $300 sitting in my pocket. Well, about a week ago I get this notice in the mail that I owe $10, which I though was craziness since I paid my fees in full. I call the billing department, and they tell me that I owe a $10 late fee since I didn't pay until the day that classes started. Wow, isn't that convenient for Northeast?! An administration representative told me it was fine to wait till classes started to pay my fees and then they stick me with a $10 fee. Doesn't that sound like fraud and conspiracy to you?! It certainly does to me! That is certainly no way to run a college! I would have paid earlier if I had known, and I would have certainly been willing to pay the $10 if it was my responsibility, but it was the college's own fault!! I fought for it this morning, but I kept getting the same response..."I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do." Well, if you were truly sorry you wouldn't have made me pay! I certainly felt violated and disgusted! I won't even get into the situation with my application at the beginning of the term. If you can, avoid this institution. They certainly don't care about you!
