America votes and Carrie wins! The finale last night was simple amazing! Not only did Carrie's dreams come true, but many others did too. The audition of a woman that "attempted" the national anthem in Washington was featured on the main screen then mid-way through the audition, she popped out as the screen split in half and finished her song at the Kodak. Two "cool" people that formed a friendship at one of the auditions (one that looks scarely like our SGA president on campus) told each other that it would be cool that they would be together at the finale episode, but they were not even allowed to Hollywood. Last night, they were brought together at the finale and one of them got a surprise meeting with his idol David Hasselhoff. Also, each of the finalists got to sing a song with their own idols, such as Kenny G, Rascal Flatts, and Lynrd Skinard (sp?). I thought one of the funniest moments was the obvious crack at ABC's Primetime Live on the Paula controversy with their own "Crimetime Live" report on Simon's affair with himself. Carrie was ultimately crowned the season 4 American Idol! Simon did predict her victory at the beginning; I must say he usually is honest though sometimes bitterly mean. She won a record contract, a new car, and use of her own private jet. She certainly will be livin' it up! Carrie concluded the night in an emotional singing of her soon to be single cd, "Inside Your Heaven."

Carrie Is Your American Idol!
