A Nice Weekend

Well, this was a pretty good weekend. It started out kind of boring, though. I didn't have much to do at all except type my notes and read part of a book. Saturday was much different, though. I met up with my mom, Donna, Amy, Casey, and my adopted grandma, Cubby. We then drove to the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area and went shopping. Normally, I don't enjoy shopping. It kind of drives me up the wall sometimes, but it was an exception this time around. It was great being with my mom and my great friends. We had lots of fun being with each other. I even got some nice clothes for extremely cheap prices (jeans for $10 and dress shirts for $4; outlet shopping rules). When we got back to my car where I had parked it when they came and picked me up, I revealed my surprise that I was coming home for the night and going to church the next day. I had lied to them earlier telling them that I din't think that I would come home. It was funny! The next day at church was great! I love my home church, Liberty! I surprise Holly really good; I had told her over AIM that I wasn't coming home. She gave me a great, big bear hug. It was wonderful being with everyone once again. We then all got together after church and ate lunch at Rush Street. Talk about good times. I got to download a bunch of songs at home, which I had been wanting to download badly. That felt great! My mom also got my laundry done for me (love you, mom!). I also took some Christmas decorations back to campus with me to decorate my dorm room. It felt odd not decorating my room with the traditional 2000+ lights; it was kind of sad. Oh well, that's change for you. I went home a new way this time in the dark. I got kind of scared because it was very dark outside, and I wasn't exactly sure where the turns were. Also, it was in the boonies with no cellphone signal and in a bad place to ask directions. I made it though without getting lost (thank God!). Well, I'm back on campus now waiting for Thanksgiving break to get here (11:45 Tuesday).
