Worried for Nothing

What are you worried about in your life? I can tell you that I am always worried about something. It's not because I just started college, and I am making a huge transition in my life. I have been like this all my life. I get worried over nothing. I get worried over things that I have no control over. I am so surprised that I have lived 18 years, and I still haven't suffered a major nervous breakdown. I have though broke out in more zits and gained a few pounds in my life over unnecessary stress. I am so sure that you are reading this and thinking that I am describing your life. But, what does worrying do? Does it help us in any way? For the deep question, does it help our relationship with God? In Psalm 18:30 we are told, "As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." Do you think God wants us to worry or do you think that He wants to put our trust in Him? I believe that worrying does hinder our relationship with our God. He tells us to put our trust in Him and never have any doubt. Worrying somewhat tells God that I believe in you Lord, but I trust myself more. What would life be like if we did hand over all of our worries to Him? I think life would be so much better. Can't God do so much more than we can? Can't God move the mountains and shake the Earth? What can we do? Nothing in comparison to God. We shouldn't put our faith in ourselves. We need to put our faith and trust in Him. We need to pray to Him to just take over our life and our thoughts. Tell him that we put all of our trust with Him. Tell God to take over all situations in our lives, and have Him form and shape our lives. God gave us the promise that He will let our lives be worry-free if only we truly trust Him. Let's all give it a try (myself included). Let's all tell God He is in control and that we put all of our faith, trust, and thoughts with Him.
