Gettin' No Blood From Me

Carson-Newman's rival football game is this Saturday against Tusculum. Every year, each school has a blood drive to see which school gives the most blood. I thought, "I'm going to be a responsible citizen and give blood." That statement of giving blood really don't scare me. I don't like needles, but I can deal with it as long as I don't see it coming at me. Well, I went in there, got my paperwork done, and answered a lot of questions. Well, they prick my finger to get a small sample before I start giving it. That did not turn out good. I like almost passed out just with a little needle prick. My head starting getting dizzy, my face started to pour out sweat, and the lady said my face was white as paper. I couldn't believe it! Well, I didn't give blood. I felt bad, but they still gave me a free t-shirt for trying. The only thing is that I don't know if I can handle needles any more or not. I used to be fine with them, but this is not the first time that this has happened to me in recent history. Last summer, I went to get some shots so I could go to college. I like passed out in the waiting room. I did the exact same thing that I did today. It was so embarrassing! I wonder what is wrong with me. I really don't like this at all!
