$2 Chickens

Well, last night was interesting. It was a really boring night. Actually, a lot of nights around here have been kind of boring since Welcome Week is over and everyone is starting to get into the swing of things. The rumor is true; you have all kinds of free time in college! Well, Jennifer and I went and played ping pong. I lost both games, of course. We then went and walked around the gym track. We ran into Brian from down my floor. We all decided to go play a game of Life in my room. We also got Preston also from down the hall to play with us. Talk about a lot of fun! I was really out of it, though. I would just sit there waiting for someone to go, and everytime it would be my turn. I don't know what was wrong with me. Preston won. I came in second by like $200. We then went to the local "Creamery" restaurant/ice cream shop. I ordered this Turtle Track Sundae thing. Oh my gosh, it was (in Mr. Food's words) ummmm sooo good! After that we went to Wal-Mart so Preston could get some water and so we could get some more food for next Tuesday's Amazing Race party. We discovered that in the deli that they mark down their food tremendously after they close. All four of us got our own huge chicken to take to our dorms for only $2. It just wanted chicken tenders or anything like that. It was a whole chicken. It was amazing. They also sell their BBQ chicken and tenders for like $2 for 2 pounds. We were in shock! We decided to make more trips to Wal-Mart at 10 at night. Gosh, I am so surprised that this campus hasn't burned down. All the time there are fire trucks on the call. For the second time this week, Heritage Hall has had to been evacuated late at night because the guys over there are so stupid. They like set trash cans on fire and stuff. Heritage is also known as the ghetto dorm around here. Lord help us! I've also been waking up weird here at college. Ever since I have been here I occasionally wake up thinking that I am suppose to be in my bed at home, but I wake up in this strange room and in this strange bed. I then realize that I'm actually in college now. It's really strange, and it bothers me waking up like that. I don't know what's going on in my mind, but it really disturbs me in the morning. Maybe it will go away after a while; I sure hope so!
