Things Gettin' Ugly!

Last night on CBS, another episode of the Amazing Race 5 aired.  I gotta tell you; I just love this show!  It is so awesome!  Eleven groups of 2 travel around the world in a race to win $1 million.  On each leg of the race, the last team to show up is eliminated from the race.  The race has been going on now for a little while.  Four teams have now been eliminated.  The difference between this leg of the journey and the ones before it is that the teams are now getting very ugly!  When the race started, teams would form alliances with each other and they would help one another, but that was then.  Now, they are ugly to each other.  They don't care what is fair; they just do what is good for themselves.  I guess that can be understood since they are competing for a million dollars.  One team, Colin & Christie, has been really mean to Charla & Mirna, a midget and her cousin.  They were at a bus station trying to figure out when a bus left.  There was only one person at the startion (it was like 4 in the morning).  Colin was already talking to the man, and Charla & Mirna then arrive they walk to were they are at since there is no one else in the building.  Then, Colin just starts yelling at them for no reason at all.  Talk about rude!  Another team, brothers Marshall & Lance, are really mean to the cousins just because they think they are irritating and they tried to be fair at a previous airport.  Last night, it kind of got gross.  The teams had to eat two pounds of caviar.  I didn't think it would be that disgusting, but two pounds of it must be not that good.  That "Roadblock" really changed the leaderboard around.  Last place people got up to first and first place people got towards the bottom.  It got really sad at the end.  This elderly, dating couple, Bob & Joyce, were eliminated.  The problem was that the airlines gave them a business class air ticket to Russia and did not inform them of this.  According to Race rules, teams cannot travel in any class except economy.  They had to at the last minute try to find another flight.  This, of course, put them at the bottom, and they never caught back up.  You could see it in their faces through the entire leg that they knew they were eliminated, but they kept strong and kept going.  One team that I really like is the devoted Christians, Brandon & Nicole.  They have been doing very well so far; I just hope they continue to do well.  Two other teams that I like are the two "bowling" moms, Linda & Karen, and the cousin-midget team, Charla & Mirna.  I really hope those teams do well, and I also hope Colin & Christie are soon eliminated.
